Five Reasons to be at the Tips Street Hockey Tourney

It’s true. Street hockey registration is sold out. Thanks to everyone who signed up to play next Saturday, July 8, on the tennis courts at Clark Park in Everett.

Everybody else: don’t despair. You can still come and watch. It’s fun. It’s free.

Here are five more reasons you should be there:

Dennis Williams: The Tips’ new head coach will be in attendance. Will he play? Will he coach? There’s only one way to find out! Don’t miss this chance to meet him, welcome him to Silvertip Country, and get to know the new guy in town.

Talk hockey: It’s been a while, right? You’re itching to talk to other Silvertip fans about the boys heading to NHL development camps, the kicking home schedule, and what to expect during the Silvertips 15th anniversary season. You can do all that – and more.

Local media types*: Former Coug and Hawk Marcus Trufant, former Husky Terry Hollimon, and KING 5’s Dennis Bounds are scheduled to attend. That’s some serious brainpower all in one place. Come on down, chat it up, and add to your selfie collection!

Current and former Tips: Players? We’ll have them. Mitch Love will be there. Local boys Wyatte Wylie and Dawson Butt will be there. Who else? You’ll have to be there to find out. There are bound to be surprises!

It’s summer: Get outside. Enjoy the fresh air. Stock up on vitamin D. Listen to the music. Watch some seriously entertaining street hockey. And get yourself pumped for the 2017-2018 hockey season.

The tourney gets underway at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 8, at Clark Park. See you there? We hope so!
