TONIGHT’S MATCHUP

The Silvertips visit the Saskatoon Blades in the only matchup of the regular season … tonight’s game is the first for the Silvertips in Saskatoon since Jan. 3, 2015 … tonight is the fourth game of a six-game road trip (2-1-0) … the Silvertips are 19-4-3-0 against teams outside the U.S. Division this season.

 

LAST GAME

EVT 4 – REG 2 (2/14/17): Carter Hart made 26 saves while captain Noah Juulsen and Brian King each logged multi point games to help lift the Everett Silvertips to a thrilling 4-2 victory over the Regina Pats before 5,458 fans at Brandt Centre on Tuesday night in WHL action. The Silvertips, winners of three of the last four games, ended the Pats’ 11-game winning streak and also ended a five-game winless streak in the season series, collecting their first win at Regina since Dec. 7, 2010. In a battle between the two clubs giving up the fewest goals per game (Silvertips at 2.3) and most goals scored per game (Regina at 5.2), the Silvertips never trailed and ten different players hit the scoresheet.

Goaltender Carter Hart – CHL Goaltender of the Year, first goaltender selected in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft … named WHL Goaltender of the Week on Nov. 21 … was named to the CHL/NHL Prospects Game in 2015-16 in Vancouver (Team Orr) … named Silvertips MVP for the 2015-16 season … during the month of November he was 6-1-2 and led the league with a 1.11 goals-against-average, in addition to a .959 save percentage and three shutouts … he is coming off CHL Goaltender of the Week honors, the WHL Goaltender of the Month and his second straight WHL Goaltender of the Week award .. he is 75-35-7-9 with 18 shutouts in 130 career WHL regular season appearances.

THE KEVIN CONSTANTINE FILE

Kevin Constantine is in his eighth season overall as head coach of the Silvertips, ranking as the club’s all-time leader in wins (315) and posting a record of 315-178-65 in his Everett career. All four of the Silvertips’ division titles have been achieved with Constantine as head coach, most recently in 2014-15 which was Everett’s first since 2006-07. He was the recipient of the Dunc McCallum Trophy (WHL Coach of the Year) in 2003-04, when the Silvertips broke nearly every WHL expansion record and became the first expansion team in WHL history to win a division title. Constantine has coached in the NHL over the course of seven seasons with San Jose, Pittsburgh and New Jersey, helping guide all three clubs to an appearance in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
