TONIGHT’S MATCHUP
The Silvertips meet the Seattle Thunderbirds in Kent, Wash. for the eighth time in 10 meetings this season … the Tips lead the U.S. Division by three points and clinched their 14th straight playoff berth last night … the teams last met on Jan. 28 and the Silvertips were defeated, 3-2 at ShoWare Center … the Silvertips have won seven straight games and eight of the last nine (8-1-0-0).

EVT 3 – KAM 1 (2/25/17): Carter Hart, nearly securing his 19th career shutout, stopped 35 of 36 shots while Patrick Bajkov and Dominic Zwerger each earned multi point games to help the Everett Silvertips clinch a playoff spot and cruise to a 3-1 victory over the Kamloops Blazers before a crowd of 6,377 at XFINITY Arena in WHL action on Saturday. The win secured the Silvertips 14th straight playoff berth, the only team to never miss the playoffs in the WHL since 2003-04. Dominic Zwerger and Patrick Bajkov earned the 41st multi point games of their careers.

Goaltender Carter Hart – CHL Goaltender of the Year, first goaltender selected in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft … named WHL Goaltender of the Week on Nov. 21 … was named to the CHL/NHL Prospects Game in 2015-16 in Vancouver (Team Orr) … named Silvertips MVP for the 2015-16 season … during the month of November he was 6-1-2 and led the league with a 1.11 goals-against-average, in addition to a .959 save percentage and three shutouts … he is coming off CHL Goaltender of the Week honors, the WHL Goaltender of the Month and his second straight WHL Goaltender of the Week award .. he is 80-35-7-9 with 18 shutouts in 139 career WHL regular season appearances.

THE KEVIN CONSTANTINE FILE

Kevin Constantine is in his eighth season overall as head coach of the Silvertips, ranking as the club’s all-time leader in wins (320) and posting a record of 320-178-65 in his Everett career. All four of the Silvertips’ division titles have been achieved with Constantine as head coach, most recently in 2014-15 which was Everett’s first since 2006-07. He was the recipient of the Dunc McCallum Trophy (WHL Coach of the Year) in 2003-04, when the Silvertips broke nearly every WHL expansion record and became the first expansion team in WHL history to win a division title. Constantine has coached in the NHL over the course of seven seasons with San Jose, Pittsburgh and New Jersey, helping guide all three clubs to an appearance in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
