TONIGHT’S MATCHUP
Silvertips home opener which launches their 15th season of play in the Western Hockey League … the Silvertips open with back to back home games before embarking on a nine-game road trip … the Silvertips went 25-7-2-2 at home last season … Portland was 18-6-2-0 on the road … the game will be the debut behind the bench for new Silvertips head coach Dennis Williams … the Tips are 15-13-2-0 in the last five seasons against Portland … the Silvertips have won three of the last four home openers and are 7-5-1-1, all-time.
