Gianni Fairbrother Recalled from Vancouver (BCMML)

EVERETT, Wash. – The Everett Silvertips (@WHLsilvertips) of the Western Hockey League and general manager Garry Davidson announced today that defenseman Gianni Fairbrother has been recalled from the Vancouver Northwest Giants of the British Columbia Major Midget League.

Fairbrother, a 2000-born (late birth year category) defenseman, has suited up in two games along with a +1 rating with the Silvertips this season and made his debut last year in the WHL Playoffs, skating in three games against the Seattle Thunderbirds in second round action.

Currently, the 5-foot-11 and 185-pound defenseman has registered seven assists in 20 games with the Giants. With the Burnaby Winter Club (CSSHL Elite15s) last season, he was named the league’s Top Defenseman with 18 points (5g-13a) in 35 games.

Fairbrother was selected by the Silvertips in the fourth round (80th overall) of the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft.
