NW Showcase Returning May 19-21 at XFINITY Community Ice Rink

EVERETT, Wash. – The Everett Junior Silvertips, a partner of the Everett Silvertips and XFINITY Arena, will host its 2017 Northwest Showcase event, May 19-21 at XFINITY Community Ice Rink.

The event, categorized into two sessions and designed to offer advancement opportunities for players born between 1998-2003, will be led by showcase directors Turner Stevenson, Junior Silvertips head coach and Scott Brihn, Junior Silvertips general manager.

The Junior Showcase is open to amateur forwards, defensemen and goaltenders born between 1998-2001 while the Young Guns Showcase, open to all players born between 2002-03, provides youth hockey participants with advancement opportunities. Cost of registration is $300 for all players eligible.

Hockey staff from the following teams are scheduled to be present at 2017 Junior Silvertips Northwest Showcase:

Everett Silvertips (WHL)

  • Mitch Love (assistant coach)

Bloomington Thunder (USHL)

  • Dennis Williams (head coach / general manager, hockey operations)
  • Mike Watt (assistant coach)

North Iowa Bulls (NA3HL)

  • Todd Sanden (head coach / general manager)
  • Kevin Murdock (assistant coach)

Additional teams with staff expected to be in attendance include the Amarillo Bulls (NAHL), Sioux City Musketeers (USHL), and Wenatchee Wild (BCHL).
