Richards, Picks, Leedahl, Rights to Jost Swapped in Regina Trade

EVERETT, Wash. – The Everett Silvertips (@WHLSilvertips) have acquired left wing Sean Richards, a fourth round selection in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft, and conditional picks from the Regina Pats in exchange for left wing Dawson Leedahl and the rights to forward Tyson Jost, Silvertips general manager Garry Davidson announced today.

“Today’s transaction helped us secure a 98-born forward and league experienced winger in Sean Richards, a player with good skating ability and physicality we’re excited to acquire, along with a fourth round selection that adds to our options in the Bantam Draft,” said Davidson. “At the same time we express tremendous gratitude to Dawson Leedahl for his service and dedication. We thank him for his four seasons in Everett and wish him nothing but the best moving forward.”

Richards, a St. Albert, Alberta native, was signed by the Pats on Oct. 23, 2015 and skated in 54 games with the club in his first WHL season, earning 18 points (3g-15a) and three power play assists while skating in all 12 WHL Playoff games with the program, posting a goal and two assists and +3 rating.
