LAST GAME (EVT 3 – SPO 0 / 12-8-17): Carter Hart turned in a 39-save shutout and the Everett Silvertips used three goals in the final 21 minutes of play to knock off the Spokane Chiefs in a 3-0 victory, their seventh win in a row tonight in front of a crowd of 4,173 at XFINITY Arena in WHL action on Friday. Hart got his 24th shutout of his career and Sean Richards, who broke a scoreless tie late in the second period, earned the game winning goal. The Tips moved to within five points of first place in the U.S. Division after Vancouver defeated Portland, 1-0 earlier on Friday night.



  • GOT TO ADMIT IT’S GETTING BETTER: The Tips are 13-3-0-1 in the last 17 games and went 7-3-0-1 in the month of November … their six game win streak is their longest of the season … Patrick Bajkov and Sean Richards have combined for six game winning goals in that span … Bajkov led the Tips in the month with 12 points in 11 games during November, and Richards led the Tips with 7 goals in 10 games.
  • HART OF THE MATTER: Back-to-back WHL Goaltender of the Year – and CHL Goaltender of the Week – Carter Hart became the all-time shutout leader in Silvertips history on Nov. 22 and earned the 24TH shutout of his career on Dec. 9 vs. Spokane … he was named WHL Goaltender of the Week (12th time in his career) on Monday, and CHL Goaltender of the Week for the second straight week on Tuesday.
  • DAY-BY-DAVIS: Kevin Davis, in his overage season, is tied for seventh among WHL defensemen with 28 points in 30 games … he became the fourth player in Tips history to suit up in 300 games on Nov. 22 at Tri-City … Davis has 11 points in the last 12 games.
