Silvertips Add BCHL Forward Brandon Bruce

EVERETT – The Everett Silvertips today announced the addition of 1993-born forward Brandon Bruce to their roster as an affiliate player.  Bruce joins the Silvertips from the Merritt Centennials of the British Columbia Hockey League to help Everett reinforce a depleted forward corps.  The ‘Tips played Wednesday’s game at Portland with only nine forwards in the lineup.

Bruce, 19, has previous WHL experience during the 2010-11 season, when he skated in 34 games for the Swift Current Broncos.  He recorded one assist and four penalty minutes during his last stint in the WHL, and was also listed at one time by the Calgary Hitmen.  The Cranbrook, British Columbia native has played 15 games for Merritt this season, totaling three goals, two assists and 19 penalty minutes.

In 56 games with the Centennials last season, Bruce finished with 31 points on 16 goals and 15 assists while also posting 67 minutes in penalties.  The 5-foot-10, 180-pound winger also chipped in three assists and eight penalty minutes in nine BCHL playoff games last year.

Next up for Everett is another U.S. Division road game Friday in Kennewick against the Tri-City Americans.  Opening faceoff is set for 7:05 pm, with pregame radio coverage from the Toyota Center starting at 6:30 on Fox Sports 1380 AM.  The Silvertips will then head to Spokane for a pair of games against the Chiefs on Saturday and Tuesday before returning home to face the Red Deer Rebels Wednesday at Comcast Arena.

Season tickets and mini-game packages for the Silvertips’ 10th Anniversary season at Comcast Arena are on sale now.  For more information visit or call 425-252-5100.  To keep up with all the latest ‘Tips news, “like” the Everett Silvertips Hockey Club on Facebook or follow @WHLSilvertips on Twitter.
