EVERETT – The Everett Silvertips, in conjunction with the Western Hockey League, today announced the full schedule for the 2013-2014 WHL regular season. The 11th year of Silvertips hockey once again finds the club playing 36 home dates at Comcast Arena in downtown Everett and 72 total games between September and March.

The ‘Tips open the 2013-14 regular season with a stand-alone game on Saturday, September 21, when they play host to the Prince George Cougars at Comcast Arena. Everett’s last regular season home game will be played against the Victoria Royals on Saturday, March 15. Overall, 27 of the Silvertips’ 36 home dates fall on the weekend, including 11 Fridays and 11 Saturdays.
All five Silvertips home games against the rival Seattle Thunderbirds will once again be played on Friday and Saturday nights this year, with ten other prime weekend dates featuring visits from other regional rivals like Portland, Spokane, Tri-City and Vancouver. For added convenience to the fans of Silvertip Country, all Sunday home games at Comcast Arena have been moved up one hour and will now face-off at 4:05 pm.
Other highlights of Everett’s 2013-14 home schedule include: our fifth-annual “Pink the Rink” breast cancer awareness game on Saturday, November 2, a special 2:05 pm Veteran’s Day matinee game vs. Vancouver on November 11, a New Year’s Eve matchup with Victoria at 6:05 pm on December 31, and visits from the WHL’s six East Division clubs spread out between October and February. The Silvertips are set to host nine home dates during the month of November and eight more in February.
The Silvertips’ Eastern Conference road swing is split between two separate trips this season, the first coming in October with stops in Red Deer and Edmonton before shifting west for a pair of games in Prince George. The second leg of Central Division visits takes the ‘Tips through Kootenay, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat and Calgary in November. Everett will play five of its last six games on the road this year before concluding the regular season in Portland on Sunday, March 16.

Silvertips season ticket and mini-game packages for the 2013-14 WHL season are available now at the team office. Ticket holders who have purchased 22 and/or 14-game packages will receive their game selection forms as the season approaches. Single-game tickets for the coming season will go on sale in mid-August.
