EVERETT, Wash. – The Everett Silvertips (@WHLSilvertips) have acquired a 2022 sixth round selection in the WHL Draft from the Moose Jaw Warriors in exchange for forward Luke Ormsby, Silvertips general manager Garry Davidson announced today.
“Making a decision like this involving an individual who has honesty, heart, and dedication like Luke is never easy,” said Davidson. “He wore the Silvertips colors with pride and was an integral piece of our club over the course of the last year. As a transaction like this has the potential to provide him with more ice time and an opportunity for our younger players, Luke will always be a member of the Silvertip family, and we wish him the best for the next step of his career in Moose Jaw.”
Ormsby, 19, has six points (3g-3a) in 25 games with the Silvertips this season and last year was a part of the Silvertips run to the U.S. Division and Western Conference title, earning six points in 45 regular season games in Everett and suiting up in seven postseason games.
The native of Everett, Wash. has 24 points and 80 penalty minutes in 150 career regular season games.
