Tips Exchange Goaltenders Bennett, Peacock with Wheat Kings

EVERETT, Wash. – The Everett Silvertips (@WHLSilvertips) announced today that the club has acquired listed goaltender Brandon Peacock from the Brandon Wheat Kings in exchange for goaltender Zach Bennett.

Peacock, 17, was 12-6-1 last season along with a 3.24 goals against average and .896 save percentage with the Okanagan Hockey Academy (White Prep). He won four of his last five games during the regular season and had a season high 36 saves on Oct. 9.

The 6-foot, 179 pound goaltender was selected in the fourth round (88th overall) by Brandon in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft.

Bennett, 16, had a 2.20 goals against average and .936 save percentage in 25 games with the Winnipeg Thrashers (MMHL), and logged a .907 save percentage in playoff action. He was selected in the seventh round (151st overall) by the Silvertips in the 2015 WHL Draft.
