EVERETT, Wash. – The Everett Silvertips (@WHLSilvertips) announced the team has recalled goaltender Danton Belluk from the Eastman Selects (MMHL) and reassigned defenseman Dylan Anderson to the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds (BCMML).
Belluk, 16, made his debut with the Silvertips on Sept. 23 against Portland and is 9-6-0-1 in 23 games with Eastman, collecting one shutout, a 2.69 goals-against-average and .912 save percentage.
The 2001-born goaltender was tied for fifth in the MMHL last season with a .913 save percentage and went 11-5-2 with a 2.72 goals against average and one shutout for the Selects. The native of Lorette, Manitoba was selected by the Silvertips in the tenth round (212th overall) in the 2016 WHL Draft.
He suited up in 18 games with the Eastman Selects (WBAAA) in 2015-16, posting a 13-5-0 record and won four of his last five appearances. Belluk was selected to compete in the WHL Cup last season, one of six Tips prospects selected in the 2016 draft who were chosen to skate in Calgary.
Belluk will wear #31 with the Silvertips.
Anderson, a 2002-born defenseman, was selected by the Silvertips in the fourth round (75th overall) of the 2017 WHL Draft and suited up in two preseason games with the Silvertips, collecting an assist. He has 10 points (2g-8a) in 19 games with Fraser Valley.
The Silvertips return to play on Friday, visiting the Spokane Chiefs at 7:05 p.m. (1380 AM / FM 95.3 / WHL Live). The Silvertips return home Saturday, 7:05 p.m. vs. Prince George.
