Butt followed up with a goal 12 seconds later, to make it 4-0 at 0:42. Forward Conrad Mitchell fed Butt in the offensive zone from behind the net, where Butt drilled a one-time shot from the far circle.

Fasko-Rudas completed his hat trick, while short-handed, cruising past the defense just before his approach to the net to put Everett up 4-0 at 7:54 of the second. After two periods, Everett continued to outshoot Victoria, 38-12.
