TIPS WIN: Nine is Fine!
KENNEWICK, Wash. – Bryce Kindopp’s goal with 18 seconds to play in regulation snapped a 3-3 tie and lifted the Everett Silvertips to a thrilling 4-3 victory over the Tri-City Americans before 3,202 fans at Toyota Center on Sunday in WHL action.
The Silvertips boosted their winning streak to a season high nine straight games and moved to within one point of first place in the U.S. Division after running the table in a taxing stretch of four games in five days. Kindopp had a season high three points and collected his second multi goal game of the season. Dustin Wolf, returning between the pipes for the first time since Nov. 18, supported the Tips with 29 saves for his third win in his first four career appearances.
The Tips power play cashed in with a 2-of-5 effort.

Riley Sutter tucked a rebound at 10:35 of the first for a 1-0 lead, but Tri-City scored the next pair of goals to grab their only lead of the game. Michael Rasmussen finished a pass from behind the net by Morgan Geekie at 14:29 to tie the game, then Maxwell James’ second period deflection earned a power play goal at 5:31 on a shot by Isaac Johnson.
Just 2:47 later, Kindopp finished Sean Richards’ feed for a power play goal and tied the game, 2-2. The Tips worked to earn a five-on-three opportunity and Wyatte Wylie’s blast from the right point sailed through for a 3-2 Tips lead at 14:57 of the second period.
Michael Rasmussen tied the game again on a deflection from Juuso Valiamki’s point shot at 4:07 of the third period, but the Silvertips sustained the tie after surviving a pair of shifts when they were caught in their own zone. Then with a minute left, the Tips worked the puck deep into the Tri-City zone. Connor Dewar stripped Roman Maleficence and fed Kindopp at the net. Kindopp’s first bid was stopped by Beck Warn, but converted on his own rebound and sent the Tips bench into delirium with 18 seconds left in regulation.
