The Silvertips battle the Spokane Chiefs in the second of eight meetings this season, and the first in downtown Everett this season … the Tips are 2-0-0-0 in a stretch of playing in 10 of 13 games on home ice … their 32 points are most in the Western Conference, two ahead of the Vancouver Giants … the Tips are 61-56-9 all-time against Spokane and are 38-23-3-3 on home ice against the Chiefs … the Tips will be completing a three-game in three-day set, and by the end of Sunday’s game will have completed four games in five days (2-1-0-0 in the current span) … the last time the two teams met in downtown Everett was on Feb. 25, 2018 and Spokane defeated the Silvertips, 5-2.

EVT 6 – VAN 5 (11-17-18): The Everett Silvertips scored six goals on 34 shots and captain Connor Dewar netted two goals and added an assist as the Everett Silvertips defeat the Vancouver Giants in a thriller, 6-5, before 6,789 fans at A.O.T.W. Arena on Saturday night. Nine Silvertips recorded points tonight and the Silvertips captured the title of the best team in the Western Conference. Sean Richards also chipped in with two goals, while defenseman Artyom Minulin recorded three assists and has six points in six games since joining the Silvertips blueline.


  • TOP OF THE HEAP: The Tips hold the most points (32) in the Western Conference with a record of 16-7-0-0 … their goal differential of +24 is best in the Western Conference and trails only the league’s top team, Prince Albert (+67)
  • SPECIAL DELIVERY: The Silvertips scored 5 power play goals on Nov. 10, tying a single-game franchise record for the second time this season and sixth in franchise history … they have 21 power play goals in the last 15 games … they are second overall in the WHL for penalty killing (86.4) … the Tips are seventh in power play percentage (24.8)
  • FIRST THING’S FIRST: The Tips are 13-0-0-0 when they score the first goal of the game this season … they are one of two teams left in the WHL with a 1.000 win percentage after scoring the first goal of the game (Vancouver).
  • HOWLING GOOD TIME: Dustin Wolf, in his first draft eligible season, is second in the league in wins (15), is third in the WHL for in goals-against-average (1.99), and is fifth in save percentage (.919)
  • DEWAR OF GOOD: Tips captain Connor Dewar has points in 12 of his last 13 games … his 18 goals are tied for fourth in the WHL, trailing league leader Joachim Blichfeld (20) by two.


The Silvertips will make their home ice at A.O.T.W. Arena the host venue USA Hockey’s training camp for the upcoming 2019 IIHF World Junior Championships … Team USA will skate in downtown Everett between Dec. 14-18, showcasing a collection of the top end U.S. born players under 20 years of age … all practices (times TBA) are scheduled to be open to the public.
