TONIGHT’S MATCHUP AND SERIES NOTES

LAST GAME (EVT 2 – VAN 1 / 2-23-18): Carter Hart furnished 29 saves and Martin Fasko-Rudas’ second period goal stood as the game winner as the Everett Silvertips toppled the Vancouver Giants in a 2-1 victory before 2,536 fans at Langley Events Centre on Friday in WHL action. The Silvertips maintained their U.S. Division lead (9 points) and Western Conference lead (5 points) while reducing their magic number to 13 points, outright, to clinch home ice advantage in the opening round of the WHL Playoffs. Connor Dewar opened the scoring and the combo of Matt Fonteyne and Garrett Pilon each added a pair of assists.

  • TORRID TIPS: The Tips are 36-7-1-3 in the last 47 games and finished 9-3-0-1 in January… they have won 30 of the last 37 games … Matt Fonteyne led the Silvertips in January – and the entire league – with 25 points in 13 games and added 12 goals … they have 4 games of scoring 8 goals or more.
