TONIGHT’S MATCHUP AND SERIES NOTES

The Silvertips take on the Kootenay Ice in the only meeting of the season and the first in downtown Everett since Nov. 30, 2016 … the Tips are 8-9-2 in the all-time series against Kootenay and 5-4-1-0 on home ice … the last meeting between the teams was Oct. 14, 2017 in Cranbrook and the Tips were defeated by Kootenay, 5-3 … the Tips defeated the Ice in their last matchup in Everett, 5-0 … the Tips have won or gained a point in seven straight games … Kootenay was defeated by Seattle, 7-4 last evening in Kent, WA.

LAST TIME OUT:

EVT 5 – SPO 4 (11-30-18) (OT): A Connor Dewar goal 53 seconds into the first overtime period after overcoming a pair of two goal deficits helped lift the Everett Silvertips over the Spokane Chiefs in incredible fashion, 5-4 for the victory, in overtime before 4,051 fans at A.O.T.W. Arena on Friday night in U.S. Division action. The Silvertips were able to score three third period goals to send the game to overtime, while their counterpart scored all their goals on the man-advantage. Down 3-1 in the third period, the Tips ripped off three unanswered goals by Wyatte Wylie, Akash Bains and Martin Fasko-Rudas, before Ethan McIndoe’s deflection with 15 seconds left completed an insane flurry of offense in the final minutes of regulation.
