TONIGHT’S MATCHUP AND SERIES NOTES

The Silvertips will battle the Spokane Chiefs for the fourth meeting this season … the Tips have won seven of eight games, earning points in all and are 10-3-1-0 against teams from the U.S. Division … the Tips have the most points (45) in the Western Conference and trail only Prince Albert (53) for most in the entire WHL … the Tips are 62-56-10 in the all-time series and are 39-23-4-3 all-time in downtown Everett … the Tips are in a stretch of playing 10 of 13 games at home, currently 7-0-1 in those games at home.

LAST TIME OUT:

EVT 3 – KTN 0 (12-1-18): Silvertips goaltender Max Palaga recorded his first career WHL shutout while the Tips drilled 45 total shots on goal, as the Everett Silvertips defeated the Kootenay Ice, 3-0, before 5,063 fans at A.O.T.W. Arena on Saturday night in Western Conference action. Silvertips forwards Luke Ormsby and Bryce Kindopp scored the game’s two opening goals, while the Tips stingy defensive presence battled away all night. Defenseman Gianni Fairbrother chipped in an empty-netter to close the game out at 19:48.

  • MOVIN’ ON UP: The Tips entered the week ranked #6 in the CHL Top-10 rankings … they have resided in the Top 10 for the last two weeks … the Tips have won or gained points in 13 of the past 15 games … their 45 points are second most in the WHL.
