TONIGHTS MATCHUP AND SERIES NOTES

Sixth of eight meetings against the Chiefs and the end of three games in three days … the Tips are 3-2-0-0 this season against Spokane … the Tips are 57-55-8 all-time against Spokane and last season went 4-2-1-1 in the head-to-head series … the last meeting between the teams was Jan. 13 and the Tips defeated Spokane, 5-2 … the Tips have picked up points in nine consecutive games … they went 3-0-0-0 in their last “3-in-3” situation, Jan. 13-15 … the Silvertips hold a five point lead for first place in the U.S. Division with 22 games left in the regular season.

LAST GAME (SEA 3 – EVT 2 (SO) / 1-27-18): – Liam Hughes stopped all three shooters to help the Seattle Thunderbirds sneak by the Everett Silvertips in a shootout, 3-2 before 5,476 fans at ShoWare Center on Saturday in WHL action. The Silvertips had their eight game win streak snapped but increased their lead to five points for first place in the U.S. Division after Kamloops defeated Portland, 4-2 earlier this evening. Connor Dewar scored twice, moving into second on the Tips in goal scoring for the season. He has five goals in five games against the Thunderbirds this season.
