LAST TIME OUT:
EVT 3 – TC 0 (3-8-19): Reece Vitelli broke a scoreless tie in the second period and Dustin Wolf, coming into the game just 1:38 in, stopped 25 shots to help lift the Everett Silvertips to a 3-0 victory over the Tri-City Americans on Friday night in WHL action before 3,973 fans at Toyota Center. Wolf, relieving Max Palaga (1 save) early on, made 11 saves in the third period to maintain a two-goal lead before Connor Dewar buried the game on an empty netter with 53 seconds left in regulation. The Tips won the season series, 5-3-0-0 and improved to 2-0 on their five game road trip, moving back to two points ahead of Vancouver for the top spot in the Western Conference after Spokane defeated Vancouver, 4-1.

  • BANNER BOYS: The Tips will hoist their seventh U.S. Division banner … their division title in 2018-19 is their third consecutive and they have won the U.S. Division four of the last five seasons … the Tips need four points to reach 100 for the third time in franchise history.
    • HOWLING WOLF: Dustin Wolf, named WHL Goaltender of the Week for the fifth time this season, has been listed along with Tips D Gianni Fairbrother to the NHL Central Scouting midterm rankings … he has the lowest GAA (1.68) in the WHL, and leads the league in wins (41), save percentage (.937), and shutouts (7).
    • HATS OFF TO THE TIPS: The Silvertips have earned four hat tricks this season … Jake Christiansen became the first defenseman in Tips history to earn a hat trick, Feb. 9 vs. Portland (5-0 win) … Connor Dewar, Bryce Kindopp and Zack Andrusiak had hat tricks in the prior three of four games.
