The Silvertips will face the Broncos for the first time in postseason history and mark a return to the Rogers WHL Championship Series for the first time since 2004, their inaugural WHL season when they met the Medicine Hat Tigers. Prior to a 4-1 series victory over the Seattle Thunderbirds in the first round, and a 4-1 series victory over the Portland Winterhawks in the second round, and a 4-2 series victory over the Tri-City Americans in the Western Conference Championship Series, the Silvertips clinched their sixth U.S. Division banner with a record of 47-20-3-3 (99 points) the third highest point total in franchise history. Their 47 wins are second most in franchise single season history, and their 245 goals broke the franchise mark for most in one season.

This season, the Silvertips won their only meeting with Swift Current, 4-1 in downtown Everett on Jan. 21, on a game winning goal by Sean Richards and a 23 save effort by Carter Hart.

Swift Current advanced after defeating the Lethbridge Hurricanes, 4-2 in the Eastern Conference Championship Series. They previously defeated Moose Jaw, 4-3 in the second round and Regina, 4-3 in the first round of the WHL Playoffs. They have returned to the Rogers WHL Championship Series for the first time since 1993, and have claimed two titles in franchise history.

The Silvertips are aiming for their first league title in franchise history. The winner of the series will compete in the 2018 Mastercard Memorial Cup, hosted by the Regina Pats, and featuring this year’s WHL, Ontario Hockey League, and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League champion.

Season Membership deposits for the Silvertips 2018-19 season are being accepted for $50 at or by calling (425) 252-5100.
