Bil La Forge, 43, embarks on his 10th year with the Silvertips organization and seventh season heading up Everetts scouting staff in 2017-18. Hired by the club in 2008, La Forge earned the Head Scout position prior to the 2011-12 season and was promoted to Director of Player Personnel in July 2014.

In addition to scouting the next generation of Silvertips, La Forge serves as Director of Mount Carmel Hockey Academy in Edmonton and has an extensive coaching resume in minor hockey, winning multiple championships at the bantam level while carrying a 12-year junior high school teaching career on his resume.
In his playing days, La Forge skated in the Ontario Hockey League and Alberta Junior Hockey League before competing collegiately at Augustana University College.
He is a graduate of both Augustana and the University of Alberta. His father, Bill, served as head coach of the NHL’s Vancouver Canucks, both the Regina Pats and Kamloops Junior Oilers of the WHL and multiple other teams over a successful coaching career spanning from 1980 until the mid-1990s.
Bil and his wife, Nella have two daughters, Izabella and Alexa, and reside in St. Albert, Alberta.
