LAST GAME (SEA 4 – EVT 3 / 10-22-17): Dillon Hamaliuk scored twice despite a pair of power play goals by Connor Dewar, and the Seattle Thunderbirds snuck by the Everett Silvertips, 4-3 before 4,517 fans at XFINITY Arena on Sunday in WHL action. The Tips power play, after coming up empty on five opportunities on Friday, rebounded to post a 3-of-6 effort with 15-year old Blake Lyda, making his second career appearance as an AP call-up, turning in 27 saves on his second career start with goaltenders Carter Hart (illness) and Dustin Wolf (lower body) still out of the lineup.

  • STEADY AS SHE GOES: The Silvertips are the only team in the last 14 WHL seasons to reach the playoffs every season … they have captured five U.S. Division titles, most recently last season when they went 44-16-9-3.
