PLAY OF THE YEAR: Teddy Bears vs. Kindopp’s Rush

The Silvertips Play of the Year carries on: the next first round matchup is a tale of two moments that have unique, defining characteristics for the evolution of a goal, but the same jaw dropping result.

#2 SEED: Fasko-Rudas’s Teddy Bear Toss Goal: Maybe this one didn’t occur from a rocket like slapshot or graceful end-to-end rush, but the moment was still spine tingling. Before a packed house in downtown Everett against the U.S. Division rival Seattle Thunderbirds, Martin Fasko-Rudas scored a much anticipated goal to iginite thousands of stuffed animals onto the ice for charity, and manufacture an amazing spectacle in downtown Everett – unique to the game.
#7 SEED: Kindopp off the rush: There he is again (hey, he scored 39 goals). Bryce Kindopp led the Tips to victory in Prince George by taking matters into his own hands from the Tips zone. The veteran Tips forward carried the puck across all three zones and uncorked a phenomenal shot upstairs on NHL Draft prospect Taylor Gauthier for an absolute gem.
