An open letter from Jackson Berezowski

The following is a message from Everett Silvertips captain Jackson Berezowski, as he enters the next phase of his hockey career
Dear Everett,
Wow, what can I say. Time sure does fly when you’re having fun. It feels like just yesterday I was a 15-year-old boy coming to my first Western Hockey League training camp. Then I blink and there goes five years, full of some of the best memories of my life.
It’s been an absolute honor and privilege to put on the Silvertips logo each and every night. But that dream wouldn’t have become a reality without the help of so many people.

To the coaches: thank you for pushing me every day to become a better player and person. Your dedication towards my development is unmatched and helped shape me into the player I am today. Each one of you brought different knowledge that I’ll always be grateful for.
To my billets throughout the years: thank you for opening up your homes to me and allowing me to grow outside the sport. Thank you for giving me guidance in life and allowing me to create bonds and memories that I’ll cherish forever. You truly have provided a home away from home.
To the staff and trainers: thank you for all the work you put in to make this all possible. Thank you for the long nights and early mornings you guys put in only to make our days easier. I always enjoyed interacting with everyone in the hallways or the office.
To my teammates: thank you for making coming into the rink so easy. I’ve made memories throughout it all that are unforgettable. This is a group of brothers each and every year that made junior hockey so special.

To the city of Everett: thank you to truly the best fans in junior hockey. No one even comes close. The support you give us each night is tremendous. I’ll forever be grateful for hearing the sound of the cowbells going off at AOTW.
One last time, thank you Everett for making this ride one that will never be forgotten. I’ll forever be grateful for my time in the PNW.
It’s always a great day to be a Silvertip.
See you soon,
-Bere 17
