Austin Roest named U.S. Division Second-Team All-Star

EVERETT, Wash. — Everett Silvertips forward Austin Roest has been named a U.S. Division Second-Team All-Star for the 2022-23 season.
Roest, an ’04-born Coldstream, B.C. native, finished third amongst all division skaters in scoring with 78 points in 60 games played, behind only Seattle’s Jared Davidson (82) and teammate Jackson Berezowski (81). He registered 32 goals, fifth-most in the division, and 46 assists, sixth-most amongst all division skaters and third-most among division forwards.
He also logged 21 powerplay points, including 17 assists- fourth-most amongst U.S. Division forwards.
This is the first time that Roest has been named to a Division All-Star Team in his WHL career.
Roest was named the Silvertips’ Most Improved Player at the 2023 Team Awards ceremony, more than doubling his point output from 2021-22. He collected 13 goals and 19 assists in 59 games played last season, with five of his points coming on the powerplay.
