GAME RECAP: Roest, Berezowski net two in 5-2 victory at Victoria

VICTORIA, B.C. — Tyler Palmer earned a win against his former club in Victoria Sunday afternoon, as the Silvertips provided five goals of support in a 5-2 road triumph.
Ben Hemmerling opened the scoring at 12:26 in the first period, generating an odd-man rush and sniping his 31st of the season over the shoulder of Braden Holt.
Teydon Trembecky redirected a shot at 9:27 in the second period to even the score for the Royals. Everett answered back just 1:10 after the fact, as Victoria native Ty Gibson’s shot from the blueline was tipped by Austin Roest for Roest’s 30th goal of the season.

Jackson Berezowski buried a powerplay goal at 12:47 in the third period for his first of two in the contest. Though Justin Kipkie once more brought the Royals within one, Roest and Berezowski would each tally once more late in the third- Berezowski’s an empty-netter for his 39th of the year- to seal a 5-2 victory.
Tyler Palmer stopped 23 of 25 in the win, his 12th as a Silvertip.
The Silvertips return home Friday and Saturday against the Portland Winterhawks and Seattle Thunderbirds. Friday night is hat giveaway night, while Saturday is Navy Night. Tickets are available by clicking HERE.
