GAME RECAP: Thunderbirds down Tips 6-2 in Kent

KENT, Wash. — Seattle bested the Everett Silvertips 6-2 at accesso ShoWare Center in Kent Saturday night, improving to 6-0 in the season series.
Tij Iginla opened the scoring 3:02 into the first period, followed up by Nico Myatovic at 7:07 and Jared Davidson at 19:32 for a 3-0 Seattle lead after one.
Seattle added three more tallies in the second period, with Kevin Korchinski striking at 8:27 and Kyle Crnkovic scoring twice at 10:14 and 18:29 respectively.
Beau Courtney scored the first Everett goal at 1:51 in the second period assisted by Roan Woodward. He picked up his second of the game and fifth of the season at 15:09, banging in a rebound on the powerplay.
Thomas Milic stopped 13 of 15 in the win for Seattle. Tyler Palmer saved 28 of 34 through two periods, with Tim Metzger pitching a clean third with 14 shots faced.
The Silvertips are back home next Saturday at 6 p.m. hosting the Swift Current Broncos. The first 1,000 fans receive a special Silvertips fleece blanket, with the Great Small Dog Races being held after the first period. Tickets are available by clicking HERE.
