Jamieson, Metzger named Silvertips of the Month for community involvement

EVERETT, Wash. — Everett Silvertips defenseman Eric Jamieson and goaltender Tim Metzger have officially been named SnoCo CASA Players of the Month for October, in recognition of community involvement with Everett Youth Hockey.

Jamieson (’05), Metzger (’05) and forward Matthew Paszkiewicz (’05) attended an Everett Jr. Silvertips 8U hockey practice on Oct. 18, serving as guest coaches for the young players. The trio addressed the team, led drills and provided hands-on interactive instruction throughout the evening.

“[Eric, Tim and Matthew] were gracious ambassadors and found ways to engage with every young player,” one parent said in a note to Silvertips staff members. “I saw ear-to-ear smiles all night on the ice, and I know they created lifelong memories for many kids last night.”

“[They] are all excellent young men; the Tips, their billet family, and their parents should all be very proud of them,” the note added.

Stick taps to Eric, Tim and the 8U Jr. Silvertips!
