An open letter from the Everett Silvertips and their Pink the Rink partners
Dear Silvertip Country,
Thank you for bringing your support, your energy, and your heart to support the 11th annual Pink the Rink game this past Saturday. Because of you, we are starting off this season as the league leaders in attendance – we had 6,400 fans came out Saturday night alone! And have we mentioned we still haven’t been scored on at home yet?
While things had to look a little different this year, you all made up for it with your spirit and generosity. It is because of you, and the generous support of our event partner and sponsor Safeway, that we were able to raise over $65,000 this year for Providence Comprehensive Breast Center.
A special shout out to Tate Childe from Childe Customs for designing and creating a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted Pink the Rink Silvertips helmet for the silent auction. Fans are still talking about it!
From all of us here at the Silvertips, thank you for continuing to be the best fans in the entire WHL. You continue to show up, give generously, and put this community first.
With sincere gratitude,
Your Everett Silvertips Hockey Club
“We here at Providence Everett are humbled by the generosity and enthusiasm displayed during the Pink the Rink game each year. Through this event, your support of the Providence Comprehensive Breast Center helps provide low-income and uninsured women in our community with free mammograms, breast cancer screenings and diagnostics. You are saving lives!”
“To all our Neighbors and Silvertip Fans-
Thank you for all you do for our community! Every year, we all ‘put our sticks to the ice’ to make sure that no woman ever goes through the cancer journey alone, afraid and without resources! Thank you for being the best fans in the Northwest!”
