PROSPECT UPDATE: Hlady, Kaplan earn CSSHL MVP honors

EVERETT, Wash. — Two Everett Silvertips prospects have earned CSSHL MVP hardware in their respective divisions. Forward Remy Hlady (2022 8th-round pick) has won CSSHL U16 Most Valuable Player, while signed forward Lukas Kaplan (2022 6th-round pick) has won CSSHL U17 Most Valuable Player.
Hlady, an ’07-born Tyndall, MB native, logged 27 goals and 29 assists in 35 games played for Rink Hockey Academy Winnipeg’s squad. He also posted a goal and two assists in five postseason games, helping RHA Winnipeg to the U16 league championship.

Kaplan, an ’07-born Spruce Grove, AB native, recorded 23 goals and 35 assists in 25 games played in the regular season, leading the league with a 2.33 points-per-game average. He also tacked on two goals and seven assists in five playoff games leading the Northern Alberta Xtreme to the U17 league title. Kaplan signed his Standard Player Agreement with the Everett Silvertips on Nov. 26, 2022, making his WHL debut on Mar. 17 at Vancouver. He appeared in four regular season games for the Silvertips in 2022-23.
