EVERETT, Wash. – A 53-save performance from Tri-City goaltender Beck Warm along with a goal and an assist from Tri-City forward Sasha Mutala was enough to lift the Tri-City Americans over the Everett Silvertips 4-2 in front of 5,119 at A.O.T.W. Arena in downtown Everett on Friday night.

Silvertips captain Connor Dewar posted a goal and an assist along with a two-point night from defenseman Jake Christiansen, where he recorded a goal and an assist. The Tips finished four shots short of their single-game record (59) set in 2017-18, and one short of tying the franchise record for most in one period (27, set in 2016-17).

UP NEXT: The Silvertips head to Spokane to take on the Chiefs on Nov. 3 at 7:05 P.M. (1380 AM / 95.3 FM / Tips App / WHL Live). The game starts a four-game road trip, and the Tips return home Nov. 14 against Portland at 7:05 p.m. Tickets are available at

The Silvertips hammered shots on net and kept a strong defensive presence in a scoreless first period. Tri-City goaltender Beck Warm faced 14 shots, while Everett goaltender Dustin Wolf faced four. The period produced five minor penalties total, the first three on Tri-City and the remaining two on Everett. A Bryce Kindopp charging penalty at 17:38 shook up Tri-City defenseman Riley Bruce, as he was sent to the locker room.

In the second period, Tri-City center Krystof Hrabik put the Americans up 1-0 with a wrist shot from the right circle created from a steal and pass from right-winger Sasha Mutala at 6:18. It took Silvertips captain Connor Dewar 43 seconds to retaliate with a one-time wrist shot off a feed from Jake Christiansen and stretch pass from Sean Richards at 6:45.

Everett defenseman Gianni Fairbrother was hauled off for tripping at 18:31, which eventually set up a Tri-City power play goal at 19:24. Americans forward Nolan Yaremko’s power play goal put the Americans up 2-1, where he delivered a slap shot immediately after Parker AuCoin won the draw against Dewar in the right circle.

The retaliation from Everett continued as Riley Sutter cut the Americans’ lead to 3-2, with a one-timer blasted off a feed from Dewar and Christiansen at 12:35.

Everett takes their timeout with 1:31 left in regulation, where they pull Wolf. The Americans scored an empty net goal with under one second remaining in regulation.
