EVT 5 – POR 3 (11-25-18): Martin Fasko-Rudas scored twice in the opening period and added an assist, while the Everett Silvertips never trailed to defeat the Portland Winterhawks, 5-3 for their fourth win in five games before a crowd of 2,408 at Veterans Memorial Coliseum in WHL action on Sunday. The Tips, coming off the back end of eight games in 11 days with three days of rest before last night, notched a pair of wins in back to back days to increase their lead to five points for the top record in the Western Conference. Dustin Wolf turned in 30 saves while Luke Ormsby had the game winning goal.



  • MOVIN’ ON UP: The Tips entered the week ranked #9 in the CHL Top-10 rankings … the Tips have won or gained points in 10 of the past 12 games … their 39 points are second most in the WHL.
  • TOP OF THE HEAP: The Tips hold the most points (39) in the Western Conference with a record of 19-7-1-0 … their goal differential of +28 is best in the Western Conference and trails only the league’s top team, Prince Albert (+80)
  • THE WOLF HOWLS: Dustin Wolf enters this week coming off his third WHL Goaltender of the Week honor … his sixth career shutout has him ranked tied for fifth, all-time in Tips history (Heemskerk, Simpson) … his 1.88 goals-against-average is 3rd in the WHL … his .924 save percentage is 4th in the WHL.

The Silvertips will make their home ice at A.O.T.W. Arena the host venue USA Hockey’s training camp for the upcoming 2019 IIHF World Junior Championships … Team USA will skate in downtown Everett between Dec. 14-18, showcasing a collection of the top end U.S. born players under 20 years of age … all practices (times TBA) are scheduled to be open to the public.
