WORLD JUNIORS: Zellweger, Seeley return to Hockey Canada’s 2022 roster; Williams back as asst. coach

CALGARY, AB. — Ronan Seeley and Olen Zellweger are back on Hockey Canada’s roster ahead of the 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship. Silvertips general manager/head coach Dennis Williams will return as an assistant coach for the tournament.

Seeley, Zellweger and Williams were originally part of the World Juniors squad that began competing in December before the cancellation and re-scheduling of the tournament. Play will re-start in Edmonton and will run from Aug. 9-20.

The Canadian squad will meet in Calgary in advance of a six-day training camp at the Seven Chiefs Sportsplex on the Tsuut’ina Nation from August 2-7.

Canada’s tournament opener at the 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship is slated for Wednesday, August 10 versus Latvia (4:00 p.m. MT, Rogers Place).
