EVERETT, Wash. – The Everett Silvertips (@WHLSilvertips) announced their Giveaway and Promotional Schedule for the 2017-18 season, their 15th in the Western Hockey League, and a pair of unveiled jerseys the team will wear for home and road games designed to commemorate the anniversary campaign.
The jerseys, manufactured by CCM Hockey and designed internally by Silvertips promotional and operations staff, is inspired by the “throwback game” jerseys worn by the Silvertips in each of the last two seasons. Both jerseys feature tie-down laces at the base of the neck collar, an “Old English” style letter “E” on the front with contrasting base, trim, and Silvertip bear shoulder patches alternating in white and green colors.
“For our 15th season in the Western Hockey League, it made complete sense to celebrate our growth with a jersey that gives a nod to a retro theme and was fully embraced by our fans over the last two seasons,” said Consolidated Sports Holdings International chief operating officer and governor Zoran Rajcic. “We’ve taken a deep breath over the last few months to evaluate how we can make a better experience for our friends through the turnstiles each night. Their feedback is valuable, paving the way to our goal this season to embrace our history as a franchise and aim for a fresh approach in the feeling of each game night.”
Carrying on with a tradition, the Silvertips 2017-18 Giveaway and Promotional Schedule includes a vast range of fan giveaways, special events, and more, designed to enhance entertainment value for all ages attending games at XFINITY Arena. Opening the home schedule, covering 36 games this season, is Opening Night against the Portland Winterhawks on Saturday, Sept. 23 (7:05 p.m.), when the first 3,000 fans will receive a collectible Silvertips magnet schedule, presented by Lamoureux Real Estate. All fans will also witness the raising of the Silvertips fifth U.S. Division championship banner to the rafters before the opening puck drop.
Popular theme nights designed to raise funds for community outreach initiatives return this season such as Pink the Rink (Oct. 22), Teddy Bear Toss (Dec. 2), Christmas House (Dec. 17), Local Heroes Night (Feb. 17) and Navy Night (Mar. 3).
Among the list of prime Silvertips giveaways this season include a Silvertips trapper hat (Sept. 24 and Jan. 21) presented by BECU, a 15th anniversary blanket (Nov. 19) presented by Washington HealthPlan Finder, and a salute to past and present with a Silvertips mini bobblehead set (Dec. 16) – featuring Carter Hart and alumnus Leland Irving – presented by Washington HealthPlan Finder.
Fan Appreciation Night is Friday, Mar. 16 at 7:35 p.m. against the Victoria Royals, when fans will receive a Silvertips team poster presented by Mountain Pacific Bank.
